3) Our lives are ruled by fate, no matter what desission we take, our lives are already plant for us.

I agree and do not agree. Our lives are ruled by fate, but i do not agree that no matter what desissions we take in our lives are already planted for us because we plan our desissions in our life and we are going to choose the right way that we are going to follow for the rest of our lives, it is our desission and that's why i do not agree with this.

2) Winning the lotery can be a bad thing.

I totaly agree because it is a person's dream to win the lotery and get lot's of money so their life would be perfect and have whatever they wnat. but after they have all of these money they stop being who they are, they start spending on things which are not necessary, they only care about themselves having a good time, and at the end they loos all of the mjoney the have won and they die missarable because there life got mest up.

1) Family is the most important thing in life.

I agree because without our family we would be no were, our education is depended on our family, so are all the other things we do in life. For example the sports we choose to do everyday, our family mostly our parents are paing for this activitie. Also when we grow up it is up to our family to help us get into a good university, get more knolage and then find a good job or continew with the family business if there is one. Family will always be there for us when we need them. Family is the most important thing in our lives.

HAITI

What has happed to Haiti is terrible. More than 3 million people don’t have a home to stay in. Many people have started donating money, so they could help the people and the country too to stand at her feet again. But he population is too much and by some people sending some money, is not going to make a really big difference. I think that we should make an organization that in each country, that would go in as many home, they can and let the people now what really has happened in Haiti, and each house should donate an amount of money. Most of the people just herd what happened in the news, and they think that it’s not too bad and by thinking that some people would donate some money they shouldn’t, because it’s not necessary. That’s wrong, each person’s donate in the world every day makes a vary big difference. People who are rich, instead of buying more homes or more fancy cloths with they don’s really need, should donate more money in the situation of Haiti or they could build some homes for the people there, and after a few years when the country would be better economically, could repay this people back. I think there are many and many ways that each person could do to help the country, and they should not tern their backs in the country, and help them out.

taste of sault.

Taste of Sault.

1)Politics and political problems are a subject for adults to deal with.
I agree, because kid’s would not be able to deal with political problems, because their brain is not very bright yet, or well developed to know how to deal with this things. Also politics affect more the adults than the kids. They also affect the kids too, but the kids do not really care about political problems, and that’s why the adult’s take care of these problems.

2)All scenarios can have a happy ending if those involved work towards it.

I disagree because you can always make something a little bit better but at the end you will not control it, have a happy ending. For example if a marriage is not going well but the parents say that they are going to try to work something out only for the good of their kids, at the end they will get a divorce because they just not meant to be together.

3)Literacy (being able to read and write) is a form of freedom.

I agree because if you are not able to read and write, you cannot express yourself, because like some people they express themselves more by writing, instead of just talking. I totally agree that you are not free if you can not read and write.

4)Civilization without a written language cannot effectively document history.

I totally agree because if a county does not know how to read and write, they would not be able to pass out to the rest of the world important facts about their county. That means that they will not be a rememberable county, and most of the world will not know anything about that country.

CHARACTERS

Ponyboy:
He is a loved boy, he is sensitive, like when his brother pushed him, he run away.
“I have light brown, almost red hair and greenish-gray eyes. My hair is longer than a lot of boys wear theirs, squared off in the back and long at the front and sides.”
“Sometimes I just don't use my head. It drives my brother Darry nuts when I do bad stuff, because I'm supposed to be smart, I make good grades and have a high IQ and everything, but I don't use my head.”

Johnny:
He is a very lovable boy, he does not have a decent family, he cares a lot about his friends.
“Johnny is youngest, next to me, smaller than the rest, with a slight build.” He had big black eyes in a dark tanned face, his hair was jet-black and heavily greased and combed to the side, but it was so long that it fell in shaggy bangs across his forehead.”

“If it hadn’t been for the gang, Johnny would never have known what love and affection are. He is the gang’s pet, everyone’s kid brother.”

Soda:
Sodapup is a very handsome boy, and that’s why all the girls want to go out with him. He attractive too.
“Soda’s movie star handsome, the kind that people stop on the street to watch go by. He’s not as tall as Darry, and he’s a little slimmer, but he has a finely drawn, sensitive face. He’s got dark-gold hair that he combs it back. It’s long, silky, and straight, and in the summer the sun bleaches it to a shinning wheat-gold. His eyes are dark brown which are lively, dancing, recklessly laughing eyes that can be gentile and sympathetic one moment and blazing with anger the next.”

“He will never grow up at all. Soda attracted girls like honey draws flies. Soda is different from anybody, he understands everything, almost. He’s never hollering at me all the time the way Darry is, or treating me as if I was six instead of fourteen.”

Dally:
Dally is very tough and he is not afraid of anything or anyone. He hates having a haircut, so he had a problem with his hair and they felled off. He is not insightful, he is not aware of things that are not obvious, he does not look at the dipper meanings of things.
“Dally has an elfish face, with high cheekbones and a pointed chin, small, sharp animal teeth, and ears like a lynx. His hair was almost white it was so blond, and he didn't like haircuts, or hair oil either, so it fell over his forehead in wisps and kicked out in the back in tufts and curled behind his ears and along the nape of his neck. His eyes were blue, blazing ice, cold with a hatred of the whole world.”
“Dally had spent three years on the wild side of New York and had been arrested at the age of ten. He was tougher than the rest of us. He was tougher, colder, and meaner. The shade of difference that separates a greaser from a hood wasn't present in Dally. He was as wild as the boys in the downtown outfits.”

Two-Bit Mathews:
Two-bit is tough too and likes fighting, he likes girls a lot and he never learned anything after all the years he has been in school.

“He was about six feet tall, stocky in build, and very proud of his long rusty-colored sideburns. He has gray eyes and a wide grin.”

“Two-Bit is the oldest of the gang. He liked fights, blondes, and for some unfathomable reason, school. He was still a junior at eighteen and a half and he never learned anything. He just went for kicks.”

GREASERS

GREASERS

Dear, George
My name is stelios ellinas and I think it’s better for you to join the Greasers group. We might not have fancy cars or fancy clothes but we are better than the socs. The socs underestimate everybody ,they think they are the best but we are people as well, we are like them. We watch each others back , if someone would do something to a greaser ,we would get after him.
Socs were rich and because of their money they believed that they were better or in a higher social class because they had mustang cars. Socs beet up people for fun like they did to our friend Johny when he got out of the theatre. After that we had a ramble fight Greasers against Socs and we won.

We are born in the street , we are street smart people, we know where and how to hide if something happens. We know how to protect our selves and that’s why you have to join us and not the socs. Imagine, these people had everything they needed in their lives they have never fight to get higher. They might live easier with what they got but we live happier and we appreciate each others challenges in life. You will understand the value of your life and not the value of the money. Don’t be certain that when you join them you will get free expensive stuff or a mustang car, or even a free scholarship to a top university.
They are absolutely selfish. They never share and they always have their selves on the top.

Finally it’s time for you to decide which group you would like to join. I tried as much I could to follow you to the best decision. Learn how to fight and appreciate! GREASERS!
